It takes several steps to make a try-in wax denture that allows the patient to see what the teeth will look like and how the dentures will fit into their overall smile and facial appearance.
The teeth are set in wax first, so nothing is permanent yet. You look in the mirror. You check the shape, the color, and how the teeth sit when you smile. If something is not right, we change it before the denture is finished, not after.
The deepest fear people bring to us is ending up with a mouth that does not look like them. The try-in answers that fear directly. You are not handed a finished denture and asked to hope. You see it first, and you have a say.

Most dental offices send their work to an outside lab and wait. We run our own lab on site, with a Planmeca PlanMill 50 S milling unit and an Ivoclar Programat CS6 furnace. That means we control the quality of much of our restorative work in the same building where we treat you, rather than handing it to a company we never see.
For crowns, veneers, and similar restorations, the in-house lab often shortens the wait to about a week. Having the equipment and the technician close also makes small adjustments faster, because the work does not have to travel back and forth across the state.
We do not post a single price for dentures, because there is no single denture. A conventional upper denture and a fixed bridge on four implants are very different amounts of work, so a real number has to follow a real exam.

Speech also settles with practice. A few words may feel different at first, so reading aloud at home for a few days helps your mouth adjust. This is normal and it passes. Words with s and f sounds tend to be the ones people notice, and they smooth out as the tongue learns the new shape.
